hercules

this is a fantastic new music video from the band Guster – and it even has a little toy sailboat!

the song is “Hercules”, from their latest album, Easy Wonderful, which will be released in a few days – October 5th (my brother’s birthday!).

they will be doing 12 unique videos for each of the 12 songs of the album – view the rest of the videos here.  the video for “Hercules” is an amazing animation by Al Jarnow and his son Jesse.  you might recognize Al Jarnow’s work from PBS and Sesame Street.

my wife and I both really like Guster, we have almost all of their CD’s, and we have seen them live in concert probably 4 or 5 times, going back to the early days when they were the opening band for Dave Matthews Band. they are an incredibly fun band, and their live shows are always a great experience.  we usually try to catch their show every time they are in our area – even driving a few hours to Cleveland for their show last year!

    • Gerard – nice find on the video. I’ve seen pictures of the 3D sidewalk art in emails before, but never a video of how they do the work. I’ll check out the Paul Simon song.

  1. Awesome video, love stop motion. They’re really popular on design blogs and I was amazed to see a behind scenes look recently at how much work goes into them.

    Happy Birthday, by the way!
