ALCS game 5 – Tigers win!

yesterday, I scored a free ticket to go downtown with a couple other co-workers and watch the Detroit Tigers face off against the Texas Rangers in game 5 of the ALCS.  it was pretty sweet to watch the Tiger’s ace Justin Verlander pitching.  he has his amazing fastball pitches – we saw one clocked at 102 mph, and his very last pitch (#133, his highest ever pitch count in a single game) was clocked at 100 mph!  the Tigers offense was able to help out this game, and the Tigers held on to win Game 5.

the atmosphere was pretty electric, the seats were great, and we had great weather – a few times there was a mist of rain but it only lasted only a few seconds – and otherwise a perfect temperature for watching the game.  it was an awesome time – here’s hoping they can just get the job done and win the next 2 games down in Texas.
