F-16 fighting falcon flyover

this past week while on vacation down in the Phoenix area, we stopped by Luke Air Force Base, which was a short drive from where we were staying.  we went to look at some of the older military airplanes on display (F-15B Eagle, F-4 Phantom II, F-84 Thunderstreak, and F-86 Sabre, to name a few of them).  my 2 younger boys gave their best military salute:

we parked our cars just outside the base that evening, to watch as the military pilots practiced their touch-and-go landings in their F-16 Fighting Falcons.  it was amazing to see these fighter jets go screaming right over our heads, gently touch down on the runway behind us, and then lift back off to make a quick circuit in the sky, and do it all over again.
