pioneer club regatta

this weekend was the sailboat regatta for my 2 older boys who have just recently started the Pioneer Club at our church (seems to me so far like a blending of Sunday school and Cub scouts).

the morning was planned for building and preparing a sailboat for each boy, but luckily (for me) we already had complete sailboats built from the exact same kits that we built with the boys on our last vacation to Camp Arcadia.  so we headed home, but came back for the pizza lunch, and then each boy raced their sailboat against the other kids their age, using human wind power to sail the boat down a gutter of water.
