there is some pretty decent footage of the young girl sailing a Sunfish in just the preview, so I would imagine there is even more Sunfish sailing in the video!
Saw the movie with my two kids who are 16 and 13. We agreed the acting is subpar by both the lead heroine and the bad guy, and the story is cheesy, knocking you over the head with the race issue. The scenes of sunfishes sailing in the bahamas are fun however and I liked the music. Interestingly enough, heroine tries to race a friend who is a better sailor who is in a Laser?!
Meech, glad to hear from someone who has seen it. I’ll see if my library or local video store has it, but probably won’t buy it.
My library had it – there’s a good chance that many do since the saling aspect is just a backdrop (I wish it would have had more sailing!).
Meech, I checked online – my local library doesn’t have it but I was able to request it from another partner library.
Looks a little corny, but interesting enough to watch just for the setting. Especially this time of year. : )
